The First Holy Communion coin we purchased for our granddaughter is beautiful remembrance of the occasion and Gemma loves it! My parents and in-laws gave savings bonds and cash to their grandchildren for special occasions that were tucked away and quite useful to them in later life. The silver coin has on it the occasion for the gift and, in the times we’re in now, will retain or gain in value and may be sold if the need for money arises. We cannot guarantee the dollar will be of much value in the near future.
